MEET THE CAPTAIN
Captain Brian was born and raised in New England fishing the cold waters of the Northern Atlantic. Drawn by the warm blue water, year round fishing and an amazing variety of fish for the taking, he moved to Marathon, Florida. He carries a United States Coast Guard Master License rated for vessels up to 50 tons and has over 30 years of fishing experience.
MEET THE BOAT
You will be welcomed aboard MARCH FORTH a 2015 22’ Mako that accommodates up to 4 guests for charter fishing. The vessel is powered by a 200 HP Mercury Verado engine that cruises efficiently and comfortably at 25 knots. Equipped with the latest technology with Lowrance GPS and Sonar and Garmin Radar, multiple bait wells, outriggers, and tons of rod holders to hold all the tools we will need to have a fun, safe, comfortable day on the water.
MEET THE FISH
You can always count on the bite nearshore, on the patch reefs and around the infamous 7 mile bridge. Offshore, outer reefs, and deep wrecks are weather permitting. This means that were likely to go after Snappers, Grouper, Mackerel, Jacks, Sharks and even Tarpon during the summer months. If the weather is permitting we can venture farther and target coastal pelagics such as Mahi, Tuna and Wahoo.
Why Marathon has the Best Fishing in the Florida Keys
Marathon is set in, and known as, the heart of the Florida Keys. Equal distance from Key West and Islamorada, gives you access to both those fisheries with only a short ride on the water. Although there’s no reason to venture that far! The access around the 7 mile bridge adds yet another opportunity to fish; beyond the gulf, ocean and local mangroves. Less than 5 miles from the bridge and you can fish the 3rd largest barrier reef in the world. Beyond the outside edge of the reef the water gets significantly deeper all the way out to the Marathon Humps which can hold bait and predator fish year round.
